Lila M. Jacobs, age 100, of Manteno, formerly of Peotone, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 18, 2025. Born on August 21, 1924, in Peotone, she married Vernon W. Jacobs in 1943, enjoying a life together on the family farm. Lila cherished the outdoors, participating in activities like camping, snowmobiling, and traveling to Florida. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone.

Survived by her cousin, Marjorie Rogers, numerous relatives spanning generations, and anticipating the arrival of a great-great-great niece, Lila was preceded in death by her brothers Emery and Orrin Friedericks.

Visitation at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, will be followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Terry Krouskoupf.
