James B. Watson passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Barbara Watson, and the beloved father of James M., John, and Janet. James was a cherished grandfather and adored great-grandfather.

Known for his courage, hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for his family, James was dedicated to being present and actively involved in his family's lives. He enjoyed gardening, history, sports, and was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. Always putting family first, he made time for his children and grandchildren, attending special events and being their biggest supporter, earning the title of “The Superfan.”

James will be deeply missed, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held on May 31, 2025, at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park, Illinois, with interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park.
