Richard D. “Dick” Williams, 86, of Bourbonnais, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Born on June 29, 1938, in Elliott, IL, to Herman and Lila Williams, Richard lost his parents in a car accident in 1949. He married Marjorie J. Sirois on February 23, 1963, in St. Anne.

Richard, one of thirteen children, moved to Kankakee in 1949 with his brother Doe and Audrey Williams and was a member of the Jays Little League Team that placed third in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. He was a graduate of Kankakee High School, a United States Navy veteran, and worked as a welder and pipefitter for 40 years.

Survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Jane Brais and Jimmy Williams, Richard is predeceased by his wife Marjorie, parents, nephew Ed Williams, six brothers, and four sisters. Visitation and service will be on May 10, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, with Pastor Andy Hamilton officiating. Cremation rites will follow the service, with memorials to Uplifted Care Hospice.
