State revenues in Illinois are expected to fall short of Governor Pritzker's proposed budget. This has led to discussions in Springfield about potential tax increases to support additional government spending. Proposed taxes include a service tax, a delivery tax, and an advertisement tax.

There is hesitation among legislators from both parties regarding raising taxes again, and no formal proposals for tax increases have been submitted yet.

With just one week remaining in the spring legislative session, there is a call for continued pressure on state legislators to resist special interests and oppose higher taxes.

"Reach out to your legislator today and tell them what a tax increase would mean for your small business!"
