Sr. Geraldine M. "Gerry" Finan, fondly remembered as a devoted member of the Society of the Helpers for 66 years, peacefully passed away at the age of 87. Born on May 12, 1938, in the Bronx, New York, she was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Finan and a dear sibling to Sr. Theresa Mary "Pat" Finan, Rosemary Finan, Christopher Finan, and Robert Finan.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, located at 2907 S. Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60616. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.

Sister Gerry's deep commitment to her vows was exemplified by her First Vows on August 8, 1959, and her Final Vows on July 31, 1965. Throughout her career as a nurse, she dedicated her services to communities in New York, St. Louis, San Francisco, Chicago, Rwanda, India, and Mexico, leaving lasting impacts on all those she cared for.
