Barb Goodwin | Baskerville Funeral Home - Wilmington

Barb Goodwin, age 82 of Braceville, Illinois, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on July 25, 1942, in Lauderdale County, Tennessee, Barbara Joyce was the cherished daughter of Allen Paul and Beulah Marie Chipman. Barb devoted her early years to caring for her family and later worked at Johnson & Johnson Personal Products for twenty years. She found joy in line dancing, crocheting, tending to her flowers, and traveling extensively in her retirement years.

Barb, a Chicago Cubs enthusiast and a lover of country music, treasured her time with family and her grandchildren above all. She is survived by her husband Wayne, her children Cheryl (David) Rampa, Vicki (Danny) Bueschel, and Lisa (Jeff) Zavala, as well as step-children and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. Barb leaves behind siblings and extended family who will remember her with love and fondness.

A memorial visitation for Barb will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. memorial service. Pastor Jeff Logsdon will preside over the service, with inurnment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
