Clem Williams, 86, of Tinley Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on October 21, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, Clem was a lifelong resident known for his dedication to family, education, community service, and his various passions.

A proud educator, Clem devoted over 30 years to teaching social studies, serving as department chair and mentoring both students and colleagues. Generations of young minds were shaped by his guidance, wisdom, and compassion.

Outside the classroom, Clem volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Tinley Park Food Pantry, exemplifying his spirit of service and kindness towards others.

Clem had a lifelong love for sports, particularly bowling, golf, and his favorite team, the Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 60 years, Laurel Williams (nee Downey); his children Denis, Mary (Rich), Eileen (Glenn), and Mark (Gina); cherished grandchildren Amanda, Emily, Sydney, Madison, Kyle, and Mallory; and his loving siblings Noreen (Larry), Marcia (Ray), and Patrick.

Clem was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Dorothy Williams, and in-laws Denise and David Lepley.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, May 30th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park. The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 31st, starting at 9:30 a.m. from Lawn Funeral Home to St. Julie Billiart Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tinley Park Food Pantry, a cause close to Clem’s heart. Funeral information is available at (708) 429-3200.
