Kurt Adam Grunert, a beloved business owner and life enthusiast, passed away on May 23, 2025, in Joliet, Illinois, at the age of 54. Known for his infectious enthusiasm for life and passion for the outdoors, Kurt built successful companies in sandblasting, powder coatings, and saltwater fish store in Frankfort.

Born on March 26, 1971, in Blue Island, Illinois, Kurt's adventurous spirit led him to motorcycle rides, dancing, camping, fishing, hiking, and hunting. His love for nature extended to those who shared those moments with him. Kurt adored his children, Ava, Henry, and Olivia, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Survived by his mother, Diane, brothers Joseph, Gerald, and Daniel, sister Lynn, along with numerous nieces and nephews, Kurt will be deeply missed for his warmth and zest for life. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Grunert.

A memorial gathering in honor of Kurt will be held on June 7, 2025, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Frankfort, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. A celebration of life will continue at the Grunert Family home from 1:00 PM onwards. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories and love for Kurt, who deeply impacted all who knew him.
