Orland Park, IL - Wendell "Wendy" Earl Yonker, 101, of Palos Heights, IL, passed away on May 29, 2025. He was a World War II Navy veteran, survived by wife Dorothy, daughter Wendy Sue, son Thomas, son-in-law Dave, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous family members. Wendell was a dedicated member of the Christian community, serving as an Elder and Deacon in various Christian organizations. He founded what is now Homewood Disposal, shaping it with his values of faith, respect, and integrity. Wendell was known for his love of family, fishing, golf, and travel. Visitation on June 6, 2025, with a memorial service on June 7, 2025, at Palos Heights Christian Reformed Church. Memorial donations can be made to Southwest Chicago Christian School Foundation or the Yonker Family Foundation at Calvin College.
