Hickory Hills, Ill. - Samuel J. “Sam” Simone, 83, of Hickory Hills, husband of the late Carolyn L. Simone, passed away. He is survived by his children, 22 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and extended family members. Sam was the son of Anthony and Theresa Simone and brother of the late Anthony Simone.

Sam was a prominent figure, owning several ventures including Chicken Unlimited stores, the Godfather Lounge, Simone’s Old Neighborhood, and Nancy’s Pizza. He was actively engaged in politics, serving as a 4 Term Committeeman for the Palos Township Democratic Organization, and was a founding member of the Palos Regular Democratic Organization. Sam was also a proud alumnus of St. Rita High School.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Lack and Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills, followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday at Hickory Hills Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity or planting a tree through the Arbor Foundation are suggested.
