Regina "GiGi" M. Zymantas | Kurtz Memorial Chapel

Regina "GiGi" M. Zymantas, born in Germany on March 28, 1951, passed away on June 4, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. Known for her dedication to information technology, Regina contributed her talents to various institutions, including Northwestern Hospital, where her intellect and expertise were highly valued.

Her nurturing spirit and unwavering generosity defined Regina. She found joy in giving to others, particularly during family celebrations, reflecting her deep love for connection and family. Regina's affinity for animals led her to offer her heart and home to numerous dogs and cats in need.

A former volleyball and softball player, Regina's competitive spirit persisted as she cheered on the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox. She enjoyed board games with family, always sharing laughter and fun.

Regina is survived by her loving siblings and nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by her parents Povilas and Genovaite. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 8, and at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Monday, June 9, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place.

In honor of Regina, donations to PAWS Tinley Park, IL, or NAWS Mokena, IL, are appreciated. The family encourages wearing Chicago White Sox or Bears gear to the visitation.
