Danuta Mąka, a symbol of love and courage, peacefully passed away on June 7, 2025, in Chicago after bravely battling cancer. Born on November 18, 1963, in Poland, she was remembered for her thoughtful nature and unwavering strength.

Danuta grew up in Poland with her mother, Aniela, and brother, Janusz, before settling in Chicago where she met and married her husband, Marian. Together, they raised four children: Mariusz, Monika, Marcin, and Andrzej, and were blessed with grandchildren Adrian, Karol, Michał, Zofia, and Sebastian.

Danuta's loving presence and courage touched everyone she met, with her selflessness and ability to anticipate the needs of others. She was a beacon of light in her community and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, with a funeral on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
