Roy A. Sabino Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his Channahon residence on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 80. He is survived by Cindy Sabino, mother of his children. Loving father of Roy D.L., Corina, and Rory; dear grandfather of Braiden, Emma, and Halen; fond brother of Cindy Grimley. Roy had a grateful heart and cherished various things in life, including collectibles, dollar bills, his cat, and Cadillacs. But his greatest love was connecting with people, never meeting a stranger. Known as a master barbecuer, he enjoyed hosting parties with music, especially Pink Floyd, and shared a love of NASCAR. Roy's life journey included experiences as a deckhand and truck driver, embraced with passion and compassion. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at The Maple Funeral Home in Channahon. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
