Chicago Heights resident Susana Esquivel Balderas, 43, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. She is survived by her children Ramon (Julissa) Vasquez Jr., Yasmine Balderas, Jocelynn Balderas, and Joshua Balderas, as well as her granddaughter Avyanna Vasquez. Susana was the daughter of Gustavo and Guadalupe Esquivel, and sibling to Gustavo (Lorena) Esquivel Jr., Leticia (Octavio) Carbajal, Esmeralda Esquivel, and Jose Antonio (Maria) Esquivel.

Visitation for Susana Esquivel Balderas will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 3:00—7:00 pm at Smits Funeral Home, located at 649 East 162nd Street, South Holland, IL 60473. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:45 a.m. at St. Kieran Catholic Parish, 724 195th St, Chicago Heights, IL.
