David S. Cargill, 74, passed away on June 24, 2025, in Tinley Park, IL. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy A. Cargill and his daughter Sara Cahill. David had a passion for railroading, working for Conrail, the CTA, and retiring from The Belt Railway Company of Chicago. A devoted father and grandfather, David will be remembered as a proud papa to Alli, Veronica, and Hope.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, to Richard and Adelaide Cargill, David was a loving brother and brother-in-law to his late brother Dale Cargill, and family. His love for music, particularly the Blues, harmonica playing, and interests in horse racing and NASCAR were well-known. David's enthusiasm for life extended to his fur buddy Rylee, whom he is reunited with in heaven.

Visitation is scheduled for June 30, 2025, with a funeral service on July 1, 2025, at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park.
