John P. Czerwinski Sr. Remembered for Dedication to Carpentry and Devotion to Family

John P. Czerwinski Sr., aged 75, passed away on June 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Czerwinski (nee Crilly) for 53 years. John was a devoted father to John Jr. (Barbara), Tom, Jim (Angela), and Mike, and a cherished Papa to Collin, Emily, Kara, J.P., Jimmy, Luke, Nate, Dillon, Dean, Katherine, and Jake.

He was the dear brother of the late Mel (Donna), David (Tina), Paulette (Dan), and Annette (Dave). John was the son of the late Paul and Alvina Czerwinski (nee Haka). He was a fond uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

John took pride in his work as a proud 2nd generation Master Carpenter and Gold Card recipient of the Chicago Land Carpenters Union Local #10. His craftsmanship and skills were unrivaled, leaving a lasting mark in the profession.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, starting at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Cajetan Church, located at 2447 W. 112th St., Chicago, 60655. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
