Babette L "Babs" Sherrill | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais
Babette L. “Babs” Sherrill, aged 78, of Bourbonnais, passed away on July 7, 2025, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet. Born on August 27, 1946, in Sioux City, IA, Babs was known for her love of card games and gambling. As a devoted single mother to her three sons, Rodney, Dave, and Aaron, Babs worked hard and remained determined to stay active despite declining health. She had a passion for travel, exploring new places and creating lasting memories with her family and friends. Survived by her sons, sisters, brother, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, like Pat and Gary Weber, Mary and Larry Stineman, and Marilyn Adams, Babs will be dearly missed. In memory of Babs, memorial visitation will be held on July 12, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Cremation rites have been accorded. Contributions can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in honor of Babs' memory. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter-in-law, Maria Rocio Sherrill.
