Glen Ray Skaggs Jr. | Vandenberg Funeral Home - Tinley Park

Tinley Park - Glen Ray Skaggs Jr., age 67, passed away on July 5, 2025, in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Born on September 4, 1957, in Blue Island, Illinois, to Glen Sr. and Edith Skaggs, Glen dedicated almost 50 years to a career as a machinist. Known for his strong work ethic and mechanical abilities, he was deeply committed to his family.

Glen was a man of unwavering faith, quick wit, and a compassionate heart. His infectious sense of humor could brighten any room, and he was always willing to go the extra mile for his loved ones. Above all, he cherished his family, his faith, and the joy that laughter brought.

Glen is survived by his children: Ursula (Robert) McNab, Eric (Sarah) Skaggs, and Matthew (Alison) Skaggs; grandchildren: Zachary (Jailin) McNab, Mackenzie McNab, Hannah McNab, Olivia Skaggs, Ella Skaggs, and Charlotte Skaggs; great-grandchild: Julian Goode; his mother: Edith Fallowfield; and sisters: Brenda (Steve) Hallberg and Ann Sylvester. He is also remembered by many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Ray Skaggs Sr.

A service to celebrate Glen's life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Tinley Park, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and resuming after the service until 5:00 PM. He will be laid to rest on Monday, July 14th at 1:00 PM at Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois.

Memorial donations may be made in Glen's name to Calvary Baptist Church.
