Henry "Hank" De Vries | Colonial Chapel Funeral Home & Crematory

Henry "Hank" De Vries, aged 90, a US Army Veteran, passed away following a life well-lived. He was the beloved husband for 65 years to the late Carol A. De Vries, nee Schreiber. Henry was the loving father of Pamela A. (Dennis Jr.) Altgilbers, Beverly A. (Heriberto "Ed" Jr.) Nicasio, and Henry A. "Butch" De Vries. He was the cherished grandfather of Alexis, D.J., Matthew, Jessica, Noah, Zachary, and Aubrey. Henry was the dear brother of the late William, Rudolph, and Jean.

Hank dedicated many years of service to August Sievers & Sons Excavating, known for his tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment. He extended his generosity to the community by driving a bus for Worth Township, offering transportation for seniors, and volunteering at Operation Blessing Food Pantry.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 3-8 p.m. The Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, IL, with interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL.
