Dena Deckinga, nee Bulthuis, aged 98, passed away, joining her late husband Henry "Hank" Deckinga. She was the loving mother of Dennis (Joyce) Deckinga, Ronald (Bridget) Deckinga, Henry (Barbara) Deckinga, and Deborah (Jan) Kahn. Dena was the cherished grandmother of Laurie (Scott) Ludwig, Kristy (Derrick) Beecham, Allison Deckinga, Michael Deckinga, Chris (Liz) Deckinga, Chad (Shannon) Deckinga, Calvin (Colleen) Deckinga, Jason (Jennifer) Kahn, Justin (Jennifer) Kahn, and Julie (Kyle) Schambach. She was the dear great-grandmother of 20 and the beloved sister of Marilyn (late John "Dub") Deckinga, preceded in death by her brothers Peter (late Ruth), Richard (late Angeline), Edward (Tillie), Robert (Marlene), and William (Trenice Postema). Dena was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Dena's devotion to her 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren knows no bounds. Her heart overflowed with love and delight for them, bringing immense joy and happiness into her life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4-7 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, IL, with a private interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL.
