Konstantina Gogerty | O'Neil Funeral Home And Heritage Crematory - Lockport
Dina was a devoted wife, mother, and yaya (grandmother), finding profound joy in her family. She met her husband Tom in Chicago, and together they raised five children. Well-known for her nurturing nature, Dina had a special way with children, which extended to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the numerous children she babysat. Her love was fierce and unconditional, making each person feel uniquely significant.
Apart from her family, Dina cherished cooking, camping, and especially gardening. She took great pride in her yard's flowers, eagerly awaiting spring each year to tend to her garden. A dedicated member of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Lockport, she shared her faith with her family and taught Sunday school, touching the lives of many.
Dina’s passing deeply grieves her family as they navigate life without her guiding love and unwavering support. She instilled in them strength and resilience, always exemplifying these virtues herself. A fighter to her core, she persevered until the end. Her legacy of fortitude will endure in her family alongside treasured memories. Though she departed during a storm, her family finds solace in imagining her at peace in Heaven.
She is survived by her loving children: Mary Bobbie Greminger, John (Ann) Gogerty, Connie (late Paul) Ganz, Thomas Gogerty Jr., and Sherri (Brad) Busch; her eleven cherished grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother, George Kriaris; and her faithful dog, Lulu.
A special mention to Christine from Lightways Hospice for her exceptional care of Dina and the family during this challenging time; they are forever grateful for her devotion.
In lieu of flowers, donations to TLC Animal Shelter or Lightways Hospice in Dina’s honor are welcomed.
