David M. Cunningham Remembered for Love of Family, Outdoors, and Fishing

David M. Cunningham, 70, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the company of his beloved wife of 37 years, Madeline, and loving daughter, Lynn Marie. He is also survived by his brother, Glen F. Cunningham, and several siblings and extended family members.

David, known fondly as "Gal Pal" and "Sweetie Pie" to his best friend and wife, Madeline, was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle. He found joy in the great outdoors, reveling in camping adventures and his deep passion for fishing. David obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Science from Purdue University in 1986 and had a successful career as a medical underwriter.

Remembered for his love of nature and fishing, David's warm presence, love for his family, and friendly spirit will be deeply missed. He cherished quality time spent with loved ones and his passion for the outdoors was infectious.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansing, IL. The visitation will run from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the service. David will be laid to rest at Oak Glen Cemetery in Lansing. In lieu of flowers, kind donations can be made in David's memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

David's legacy of love, warmth, and zest for life will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
