Marion L. Kowalski Honored for His Service and Dedication

Marion L. Kowalski, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, passed away on July 13, 2025, in the presence of his loving family. Marion was not only a beloved husband to Margaret, with whom he shared 59 years of life, but also a cherished father to Edmund and a proud grandfather to Abby. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Marion’s life was marked by service and dedication, evident in his role as a member of the Chicago Astronomical Society and his tireless efforts in organizing and running the Astronomy Shows at the Little Red School House for 27 years. Additionally, he found community in his membership in the Local Teamsters Union 710, the Golden Agers Senior Club, and the Pioneers Club.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Curley Funeral Home located at 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2025, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the same location. The procession will then proceed to Our Lady of the Ridge Church for a Mass at 9:30 a.m., followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
