Mary Eileen Sayers Daly, age 68, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. She was the beloved wife of John M. Daly and the devoted mother of John B., Michael T., and Daniel B. Daly. Mary was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Eileen Sayers, and the loving sister of Sheila Sayers and the late Marty Sayers. She is also survived by two nephews, loving cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Known for her love of music, dancing, and storytelling, Mary was a vibrant presence in the lives of those around her. She dedicated her time to organizations such as the National Association of Social Workers, the National Association for Down Syndrome, and the Self Psychology Study Group.

A visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home, proceeding to Old St. Patrick’s Church for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. A live stream of the service will be available for those unable to attend in person.

Mary's final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Bethshan Association in Palos Heights would be appreciated.

Mary Eileen Sayers Daly will be missed by all those whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and joy. May her spirit continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
