Richard A. Kolasinski, 72, of Homer Glen, and formerly of the Southwest side of Chicago, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Virginia and the cherished son of the late Richard and Mildred. Richard was the loving brother of Ronald (Connie) and the late Michael (Karen) Kolasinski. He was a dear uncle of Gregory (Joanne), Kristie (Robert), and Kellie (Art) Erickson, and a great uncle of Gianna, Robbie, and Isabel.

Richard, a retired employee of the University of Illinois at Chicago and a member of Operating Engineers Local #399, was known for his love of hunting, playing cards - especially poker, and classic cars. He was a graduate of Hubbard High School.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the RICHARD J. MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES in Homer Glen. A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 18, starting at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady of the Woods Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Fairmount Willow Hills Cemetery.
