Richard was a devoted father to Anthony (Lindsey) and Brian Malone and a loving grandfather to Jeff, Addy, Michael, Dylan, Kellan, Kamilia, and Riley. He was the son of Michael Malone and the late Mary Czaja, and a dear brother to William Malone, Kathy “Sissy” (late Floyd) Pedene, Michael (late Nancy) Malone, and Bridgette (John) Leonauskas. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Despite facing numerous challenges in life, Richard's love for his family never wavered, and his commitment to living life fully was unwavering. His resilience, positivity, and strength in the face of adversity inspired all who knew him.
As a veteran of the U.S. Army, Richard served his country with honor and dignity. His service and dedication to his family and country will forever be remembered.
A visitation to celebrate Richard's life will be held on Monday, August 18th, at Hickey Memorial Chapel in New Lenox, IL, from 2:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
May Richard William Malone rest in peace, and may his legacy of courage and love continue to inspire those who knew him.
