Lemont - David D. Dowejko, aged 90, of Lemont, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. He was the dear husband of the late Bernice M. Dowejko, and a loving father to Pamela M. Dowejko, Daniel E. (Margaret M.) Dowejko, Joseph D. Dowejko, and Tricia A. (Jeffery) Latz. David was a proud grandpa to Amanda Latz, Olivia (Joey) Scavelli, David (Hayley) Dowejko, Jacob Latz, and Elaina (Weston) Sims, and a cherished great-grandfather to Jordan and Jack Scavelli. He was the brother of the late Edward, who passed away in infancy.

A visitation to honor David's life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., located at 108 Illinois St. in Lemont. Interment will take place at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation at www.T2T.org.

David D. Dowejko will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
