James J. Beranek, 82, Remembered for Dedication to Family and Community

James J. Beranek, 82, of Lemont, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia A. Beranek and the devoted father of Cindy Beranek and Jim Beranek. Grandfather to Abby, Patrick, Joe, and Emily.

James was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a 4th degree Knight, and a passionate bowler. He coached baseball, basketball, and softball while being a dedicated fan of local sports teams.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, Lemont. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, proceeding to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
