Pearl E. Kooyenga, 95, of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Elizabeth Ooms, husband Harold Kooyenga, and several relatives. Pearl is survived by her children Larry, Nancy, and Steve, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing, IL, with a funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Pearl will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing. Remembered for her love of service, family, and faith, Pearl enjoyed volunteering, attending her grandchildren's events, reading, golfing, watching White Sox baseball, singing in the church choir, and vacationing with friends. She was a loving example to her family, guided by her faith in Jesus Christ. Condolences may be sent through the funeral home's sympathy store.
