Michael Marietta, Jr., 62, of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, August 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois. Born on October 15, 1962, in Joliet to Michael John Sr. and Barbara (Palermo) Marietta, he was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Wilmington Moose Lodge #241, and the A.F. & A.M. Wilmington Lodge #208. Mike had a passion for NASCAR and car collecting. He is survived by his parents, siblings Lori Duncan, Theresa Marietta, and De Anna Farrell, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, aunts, uncle, and his dear friend Cindy. Visitation will be at Baskerville Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the Masonic Services at 4:00 p.m., followed by funeral services with cremation rites to be accorded.
