Mary Ann Flood, known as "Swany," passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at her home in the Carillon Lakes Community of Crest Hill. A dedicated member of the community, she was a true animal lover, cherishing her pets throughout the years. Survived by daughters Cheryl Standish and Donna DeYoung, granddaughters Brooke Bussey and Bryce Shackley, great granddaughters Blake and Brynn Bussey, and best friend Christine O'Block. Preceded in death by husband Allan Flood, parents Victor and Nancy Swanson, and sister Rose Hoitsma.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m., with a celebration of her life beginning at 5 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home, with cremation rites to follow. Inurnment with her late husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NAWS Humane Society are appreciated.
