James A. Duax, a U.S. Navy Veteran, passed away at his Palos Heights residence on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 93. He was the loving husband of Monica for 70 years. Duax is survived by nieces and nephews Michael, Edward, James, Claire, Jean, Michael, Tara, Melissa, John, and many others, as well as brother-in-law Ken King. He was a proud member of the Ironworkers Local 1 Union. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home in Crestwood, followed by a Mass at St. Terrence Catholic Church in Alsip at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
