Lois Jean Goss of Joliet, a cherished mother, Nuni, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 96. Survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, and numerous nieces and nephews, Lois was known for her loving nature, storytelling, and culinary skills that brought her family together.

Married to her grade school sweetheart, George, for 76 years, Lois created a beautiful family and shared many memories of their life in Joliet. An avid lover of music, travel, and bingo, Lois's zest for life and sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her.

A talented hairdresser, Lois made her clients feel beautiful inside and out, forming lasting friendships. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will be cherished by her family and friends, who will deeply miss her warm, comforting presence.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home in Manhattan, IL, followed by prayers and an inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home.
