Illinois lawmakers gathered in Springfield from October 14 to 16 to discuss several key topics, including energy policy, tax proposals, and changes to public transit. Despite these discussions, no votes were held on any of the issues.

The majority of legislative activity took place behind closed doors. Legislative leaders met privately with their caucuses to provide updates and discuss possible bills.

Lawmakers are scheduled to return to Springfield from October 28 to 30. During this period, they are expected to address and potentially vote on the pending issues.
