Illinois' COVID-19 moratorium on utility disconnections has expired

Illinois has let its coronavirus policies to protect non-paying utility customers expire, according to the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners.

The policies, which include orders, directives and statutes, were meant to help customers who couldn't pay their bills because of the pandemic.
