New Business
• Establish goals of the advisory council for year 22/23
o Proposed goals: 1. Increase Native American employees and foster parents 2. Update the DCFS ICWA training 3. Update and review the policy/procedure 307
• Recruitment of additional members
• Co present with ICWA Council liaison to our DCFS stakeholders on the ICWA successes April 12th @11AM.
• NICWA Conference – Scheduled for only in person registration April 2-5 in Reno, Nevada. Currently sending 1 ICWA Specialist who will be presenting and trying to gain approval for at least one more council member to attend
• Propose a new meeting schedule of every other month instead of every 6 weeks. Outreach Events
• CPS AI Education Event @ AIC March 25th
• CAICC Urban Native Education Conference April 14-15th
• Northwestern NAISA Spring Pow Wow April 22nd
