1. Minutes of the December 15, 2022, Budget Committee Meeting
The Budget Committee approved the minutes of the December 15, 2022, Budget Committee meeting.
2. Albany Park / Irving Park Violence Prevention Grant Program New Designation
The Budget Committee designated $166,040 in SFY23 Albany Park / Irving Park Violence Prevention Grant Program (APIP) funds to the North River Commission for its trauma informed case management and community engagement program.
3. American Rescue Plan Act
New Designations
The Budget Committee designated $405,000 in SFY23 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds as described in the table below to support violence prevention activities.

4. Community Trauma Recovery Centers

The Budget Committee designated $1,900,000 in SFY23 Line-Item Appropriated American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to the Live Free Chicago dba Live Free Illinois to support its Community Healing Resource Center.

6. National Forensic Science Improvement Act
New Notice of Funding Opportunity
The Budget Committee set aside $714,900 in FFY22 National Forensic Science Improvement Act (NFSIA) funds for a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to state and local accredited laboratories and medical examiners offices for programs to improve the quality and timeliness of forensic science or medical examiner services in the state.
7. Violence Against Women Act
New Notice of Funding Opportunity
The Budget Committee allocated $770,512 in FFY22 Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) funds for a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support rape crisis centers and other non-profit, non governmental programs that provide direct intervention and related assistance to victims of sexual assault.
8. Victims of Crime Act
New Designations
The Budget Committee designated $2,865,513 in FFY19 and FFY21 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds to support Transitional Housing programs as described in the table below.

9. Restore, Reinvest, and Renew
Designation Increase
The Budget Committee designated $881,700 in SFY23 Restore, Reinvest, and Renew (R3) funds to Will County to raise the total designation of its R3 program from $1,763,400 to $2,645,100.
Under the Authority’s administrative rules, members shall be notified of all motions passed by a particular committee within 5 business days of any committee meeting, or prior to the next meeting of that committee, or before the next meeting of the Authority, whichever is sooner. Within 10 business days of this notice, a special meeting may be convened upon the request of 5 Authority members to discuss any action taken by a committee and to supersede the action. 2 Ill. Admin. Code 1750.340(i).
