Which political committees received the most contributions across Illinois during May?

Here are the 50 Illinois political committees that received the most money from contributions during May 2023, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Chicagoland Operators Joint Labor-Management PAC, based in Countryside, was the committee with the largest contributions, receiving $509,132 during May.

Donations made to political groups or candidates must be disclosed under state law for greater transparency in elections.

Individuals can donate up to $5,400 to a candidate for office, whereas corporations and unions can give up to a maximum of $10,800.

Across the U.S., donors contributed more than $18 billion during the two-year 2020 election cycle, with hundreds of millions more in 2021.
