U.S. Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) for the inaugural "Bank Your Vote" Gala.
The gala will be held Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 at the Westin O'Hare in Rosemont.
The event marks the start of a new annual tradition aimed at promoting early voting, vote by mail, and other pre-election day methods to energize the Republican base in the upcoming election year.
The "Bank Your Vote" initiative is a nationwide effort with a focus on supporting early voting and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) programs. It is a unified undertaking led by the Republican National Committee, underscoring the commitment of Republicans to encourage early voting.
The event is expected to be a rallying point for Illinois Republicans, emphasizing the importance of early voting in the lead-up to the upcoming elections.
The bank Your Vote effort is a nationwide movement aimed at election integrity.
“To beat Joe Biden and the Democrats in 2024, we must ensure that Republicans bank as many votes as possible before Election Day. Because of the efforts to Protect Your Vote in 2022, grassroots Republicans like you should feel comfortable Banking Your Vote in 2024,” bankyourvote.com reads.
“The Bank Your Vote initiative encourages GOP voters (like YOU!) to get your vote in and make absolutely sure that your voice is heard in the critical 2024 elections.”
“In all 56 states and territories, your Republican Party will be working hard to get our voters to vote by mail or early in-person, and ballot harvest where permitted. We can't do it without you though–so share this site with family and friends to make sure they bank their vote, too!”
GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel noted the effort in a promotional video.
“In 2022, we laid the groundwork for this critical election cycle by running the largest ever election integrity operation across the country,” McDaniel said.
Kennedy, a prominent advocate for conservative principles in the U.S. Senate, has been actively pushing for conservative values.
He made headlines earlier this year for scrutinizing Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias concerning the presence of explicit content in books available in public school libraries accessible to children.
Kennedy read passages from obscene books meant for children on the Senate floor earlier this year while Giannoulias was in front of the body after coming out in favor of preventing libraries from removing the volumes.
“Take two books that have been much discussed,” Kennedy said on the U.S. Senate floor.
“The first one is called All Boys Aren't Blue. And I will quote from it. ‘I put some lube on and got him on his knees and I began to slide into him from behind. I pulled out of him and kissed him while he masturbated. He asked me to turn over while he slipped the condom on himself. This was my ass, and I was struggling to imagine someone inside me. Yeah. He got on top and slowly inserted himself into me. It was the worst pain I think I have ever felt in my life. Eventually, I felt a mix of pleasure with the pain.’ Close quote. All boys aren't blue.”
“The second is another much discussed book. I'm sure you're familiar with it. It's called Genderqueer. Okay. Let me read an excerpt from that quote. ‘I got a new strap on harness today. I can't wait to put it on you. It will fit my favorite dildo perfectly. You're going to look so hot. I can't wait to have your cock in my mouth. I'm going to give you the blowjob of your life. Then I want you inside of me.’ End quote. Now. Mr. Secretary, what are you asking us to do? Are you suggesting? That only librarians should decide between the two books that I just referenced should be available to kids. Is that what you're saying?”
