Illinois updates motor fuel use tax rates effective January to June 2024

The Illinois Motor Fuel Use Tax, consisting of Part A and Part B, is set to undergo changes effective from January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2024. This tax is reported and paid by licensees under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). The new rates will be applicable for use on the quarterly IFTA returns during this period.

Further details regarding these changes can be found in FY 2024-14, titled "Change in the Motor Fuel Use Tax Rate, Effective January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2024."
