The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is set to participate in over 20 public hiring events across the state during March and April. These events aim to inform potential applicants about career opportunities within the agency. Attendees will have the chance to meet IDOC recruiters, who will be available to answer questions and assist with on-the-spot applications.
IDOC is currently looking for individuals to fill positions such as correctional officers, nurses, wardens, office associates, and social workers. To support its recruitment efforts, IDOC has released a series of employee testimonial videos. The State of Illinois provides competitive wages along with health, vision, and dental insurance; vacation, sick, and personal days; a wellness program; an upward mobility program; a deferred compensation plan; and a retirement plan. Job openings are available at more than 30 locations statewide.
