The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is calling on contractors to participate in a pre-bid meeting for well-plugging and site restoration projects. These initiatives are funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and managed by the U.S. Department of Interior's Federal Orphan Wells Program.
The projects will be executed under two-year master contracts, with roles assigned as primary, secondary, and tertiary within specific zones. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled to take place via Webex from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, October 17. During this session, contractors will be briefed on bid submission procedures, contract terms, expectations, and project requirements.
Contractors interested in participating are encouraged to register with BidBuy, Illinois' online procurement system, at no cost. The relevant NIGP codes for registration are 962-96 and 962-61.
