In an October 26 post on X, Jeanne Ives expressed her determination to challenge developments in schools. She shared a post from Jay Bhattacharya, which focused on a report concerning "the billion dollar propaganda campaign the government paid for during COVID."
"This report on the billion dollar propaganda campaign the government paid for during COVID and the susceptibility of so many "educated" people to the propaganda, makes me that much more confident in pushing back against their BS every day - of course, I am referring chiefly to school Superintendents - the biggest cowards in all of government," said Jeanne M Ives, Founder.
According to the post shared by Ives, Bhattacharya's message was divided into 23 separate posts and centered around a report titled "We Can Do This: An Assessment of the Department of Health and Human Services’ COVID-19 Public Health Campaign" by Energy and Commerce Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers. In his initial post, Bhattacharya said, "The House report on HHS covid propaganda is devastating. The Biden admin spent almost a billion dollars to push falsehoods about covid vaccines, boosters, and masks on the American people. If a pharma company had run the campaign, it would have been fined out of existence."

Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee released this report on October 23, 2024. The committee began its investigation in April 2023. According to their October 23 news release, the aim of the report was to comprehend why public trust in health messaging about COVID-19 was lacking. It noted that much of the scientific content originated from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and described these recommendations as flawed.
Rodgers said, "While the Biden-Harris administration’s public health guidance led to prolonged closures of schools and businesses, the NIH was spending nearly a billion dollars of taxpayer money trying to manipulate Americans with advertisements sometimes containing erroneous or unproven information. By overpromising what the COVID-19 vaccines could do and overemphasizing the virus’s risk to children and young adults, the Biden-Harris administration caused Americans to lose trust in the public health system. Our investigation also uncovered the extent to which public funding went to Big Tech companies to track and monitor Americans, underscoring the need for stronger online data privacy protections."
