Larry Ray Goad, aged 73, of Braidwood, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He was born in Joliet on December 11, 1950, to Bernice "Bernard" and Marceline Goad. Larry married Donna Gonis on February 12, 1971, and they shared 52 loving years until her passing on February 24, 2023. A carpenter by trade, Larry enjoyed spending time tinkering in his garage and watching old westerns. He is survived by his daughters Stacey (Bruce) Legg of Diamond, IL, Kelly Goad of Plymouth Meeting, PA, son Michael Goad of Diamond, IL, grandchildren Dylan, Kalie Legg, and Kyle (Brandy) Goad, and great-grandson Shawn. He is also survived by sister Pam (Steve) Ritter of Scottsboro, AL, brothers Rick Goad of Braidwood, and Ronnie Goad of southern IL, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, and several siblings. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
