Robert J. Shirley, age 73, passed away on December 10, 2024, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. He is survived by his children Diane, Shirley, Karen, Charity, and James, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert's sense of humor and love for fishing were well known, and he enjoyed spending time on the water and listening to audiobooks, particularly westerns. He also had a love for travel, with Wisconsin being a favorite destination.

A visitation for Robert will be held on December 13th at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, followed by a Mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Frankfort. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Orland Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robert's name are welcomed.
