Michael Anthony Casey Sr., 95, passed away on December 11, 2024. He was born on May 17, 1929, in Dunlavin, Ireland, to Helena and Michael Casey.

Casey is survived by his children Mike (Lori) Casey, Cathy (Jim) Condon, Pat Casey, Most Reverend Robert Casey, and Rich (Dana) Casey. He is also survived by grandchildren Kelly (Alec) Williams, Kay Casey, Jenny (Mark) Ollila, Elizabeth Condon, Anna Casey, Maeve Casey, and Quinn Casey, as well as great-grandchildren Beckett, Colton, Renae, and Sadie.

A Meat Cutter for 50 years, Casey enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling, and was an avid Cubs fan. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and had played Irish Football for the Dunlavin Club, County of Wicklow, and the Chicago Shamrocks.

The family will be accepting memorials for Franciscan Village in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2 - 7 PM at Hickey Memorial Chapel in New Lenox. The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 10 AM at St. Jude Church, with interment following at St. Mary Cemetery in Paw Paw, MI.
