TINLEY PARK, IL - Joseph William Ehrhart, known as Joey, passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 28, leaving behind a legacy of love and selflessness.

Born on September 13, 1996, Joey was the beloved son of Lawrence and Dawn Ehrhart, the loving brother of Lexi and Zach Ehrhart, and the grandson of Frank Zenek and the late Gordon and Sonja Ehrhart. He was a dear nephew, great nephew, cousin, and the cherished godson of Alan Haug.

Joey excelled academically and athletically, graduating from Lincoln-Way North in 2015 where he made the honor roll and participated in football, track, and cross country. After two years of engineering studies at the University of Wisconsin Platteville, he pursued a career in hybrid welding, becoming a highly regarded pipefitter known for his hard work and dependability.

Outside of work, Joey enjoyed jet skiing, snow skiing, scuba diving, family vacations, gaming, fantasy football, and bean bag toss. He was a dedicated Bears fan, a lover of superhero movies and comics, and a passionate supporter of St. Baldrick's, shaving his head annually to raise funds for childhood cancer.

Known for his selfless nature and willingness to help others, Joey's final act of generosity was his decision to donate his organs, giving the gift of life to three strangers and their families.
