James A. LeFevers, 65, of Morris, Illinois, passed away on December 14, 2024. Born on November 6, 1959, in Joliet, Illinois, Jim was known for his strong faith, devotion to his family, and commitment to his community.

Jim served as a security officer with the Illinois Department of Corrections for 25 years, retiring in 2013. His professionalism and dedication earned him respect from colleagues and the community.

A devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris, Jim's faith was central to his life, guiding his interactions with others. He is survived by his wife, Jean M. LeFevers, their blended family, and cherished grandchildren.

Jim, an avid military history enthusiast, found joy in spending time with his family, pets, and rooting for his favorite sports teams. He had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.

A graveside burial for Jim will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris. Donations to his wife, Jean, are appreciated. Memories and condolences can be shared on the online guestbook at www.ucdaviscallahan.com. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, Illinois.
