Illinois General Assembly concludes session with key bills passed

The Illinois General Assembly concluded its final legislative activities for the 103rd General Assembly on January 7. The new 104th General Assembly was sworn in on January 8.

Before adjourning, legislators passed several new bills, which have been sent to the governor for approval. These bills include measures on the regulation of warehouse production and work quotas, additional enforcement for the One Day Rest in Seven Act, and an energy omnibus bill.

Legislators departed Springfield on January 9 and are expected to return on January 28.
