Governor Pritzker, along with the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR), has announced tax relief measures for those impacted by the recent wildfires and straight-line winds in southern California. This relief extends to both individuals and businesses affected by these natural disasters that started on January 7, 2025.

Taxpayers in the affected regions now have an extended deadline until October 15, 2025, to file their state individual and business tax returns and to make any necessary tax payments.
